The Euro Capital Market

This study focuses on the impact of the European Monetary Union on European capital markets and the long-term loan markets (as opposed to the short-term money/currency markets) that finance European industry and commerce. Based around a research project conducted by the Centre for European Policy Studies, the first part of this book is a macroeconomic and institutional analysis of monetary policy under the European Monetary Union. Subsequent parts look at the policy issues that will arise, such as inconsistencies, the implications for regulation, etc
